Find a Palliative Care Provider in South Africa

Looking for palliative care for yourself or someone you care for? Use the PALPRAC map to find trained palliative care doctors, nurses, social workers and other healthcare professionals across South Africa.

At PALPRAC, we are continually working to improve and update the information and resources available on our Find a Palliative Care Provider map. We encourage you to explore the map first when looking for palliative care services.

The map includes all Full PALPRAC individual members, grouped by healthcare profession, such as doctors, nurses and social workers. To be listed as an individual provider, members must have completed recognised training in palliative medicine and meet the criteria for Full PALPRAC membership.

The map also includes PALPRAC-affiliated NPOs, such as hospices, care homes and relevant medical associations. For a comprehensive list of accredited hospices in South Africa, please visit the APCC website.

We have also recently welcomed Corporate Connectors to the PALPRAC community. These are preferred providers of equipment or services relevant to palliative care, each endorsed by at least one PALPRAC Full or Associate member.

While the map covers many parts of South Africa, some areas still have limited or no access to palliative care services.
